"Born in Manchester, England in august of 1984, Konrad Dobson began his career ..."
Don't you just hate those fake 3rd person biographies?
Hello, my name is Konrad,
and I just love to create stuff.
Ever since I was a kid I loved bringing my fantasies to life through drawing and other creative means, and that's a passion that I'm glad I never gave up on, dispite lifes little surprises along the way.
I was a late bloomer. In school I did nothing but scribble on desks and in the corners of notebooks as a way of escaping classroom boredom.
I hated learning stuff I knew I was never going to need, and eventually I quit (or was thrown out, depending on how you look at it. I prefer the former)
After that I roamed around aimlessly for a short while. Hanging out with friends. Playing video games... Eventually my parents had enough and threw me out aswell, and I decided to move to a different, larger city and get a fresh start.

Next to drawing I was interested in - obviously through video games - computers, and decided to follow an IT course. Afterwards I worked in a PC store for a couple of years, where I got into webdesign in my spare time.
Eager to learn more about the many seperate, yet overlapping roads the digital media had to offer I enrolled in a graphic design course. A lot of my spare time was also filled with watching video tutorials and practising many different tools and techniques, and learning how to effectively combine them.
Once the course came to an end I began work at an awesome advertising agency where I worked on many big projects for big brand names, which was a pretty damn sweet first creative job that nicely filled my portfolio and gave me enough experience and confidence to eventually follow my own calling.
I now work freelance providing website designs, flash animations and illustrations.
My favourite color is blue, and I'm always interested in new projects.
Drop me a line if you have one you'd like to discuss!
